Khalid Jogi has succeeded in narrating the story of those isolated and backward people whom the Rigveda maligned by calling them Rakshasas and Dasas, and whom the religious scriptures later labeled as untouchables, Shudras, impure, and Mlechchhas. He has reached the accounts of those people whom the invading conquerors expelled from their settlements and cities. They lost the wars, but did not abandon their art and stories. They preserved their memories, nurtured their dreams, safeguarded their names, took storytellers along, carried their homes on their shoulders, and set out on unseen paths. On this gray, green, and blue planet, these tribes traveled continuously, invented their songs and dances, and stood firm against the history of the conquerors. They saved their words from the mint of the powerful and did not let the delicacy of their existence become meaningless. Khalid Jogi set out in search of these tribes and reached their destiny. He has traversed the tragic and comic lives of these tribes in such a way that an epic of the earth's wanderers has come into being. His book 'Khana Badosh Qabail' (Nomadic Tribes) is the vision of a local man. It is a journey of complete commitment, far from alienation, in which these tribes have been highlighted in their own time and space. Their helplessness has not been made a spectacle; rather, the psychology of the spectators has been analyzed. Instead of showing tears of ignorant sympathy over the fate of these tribes, Khalid Jogi has constructed an alternative narrative. This is why his book is not an official or non-official document, but a gazette of the locals themselves.
