In 1911, he became an assistant editor for the weekly newspaper 'Tauheed'. In 1919, he became the chief editor of the newspaper 'Rayat Meerut'. From February 1922, he published his own personal magazine, 'Nigar'. This magazine was launched from Agra. It is the only Urdu magazine that accompanied Hazrat Niaz through four cities and two countries, and it was published regularly every month from February 1922 until Niaz's death on May 24, 1966. The July 1962 issue of 'Nigar' was published from Lucknow, and the August 1962 issue from Karachi.
