میرا داغستان | رسول حمزہ توف

My Dagestan by Rasul Gamzatov
A timeless tale of love and passion. A story of love for one's roots. It is generally observed that translations diminish the beauty of a literary work, but the translation of this book is so beautiful and comprehensive that the fluidity of the original prose is dreamlike. The style is exquisite and so engaging that you will find yourself flowing along with the book. This book will take you by the hand and set you down in Dagestan, traveling with you across every mountain and trail. Rasul Gamzatov’s poetry is masterful, and you will not find such a unique style in prose anywhere else. Every page contains living, breathing lines that recount tales, anecdotes, proverbs, and events, while introducing you to the characters.
